Beijing
Settle in after your flight, then spend time exploring Beijing's history and city life. Keep the arrival day light, especially after a long overnight flight.
Xi'an
Continue to Xi'an for more of China's history. Stay longer if you enjoy a slower pace or want some free time between visits; the number of nights will also depend on your travel connections.
Xi'an to Huangshan
Allow a travel day to reach Huangshan. We will compare rail and flight connections for your dates and arrange the transfers between your hotels and stations or airports.
Huangshan and Huizhou
Give Yellow Mountain and the Huizhou villages time of their own. A mountaintop night is worth considering if the walk suits you; choose the hotel and cable-car route around your walking ability and the season.
Shanghai
Finish with a stay in Shanghai, choosing your hotel with the departure airport in mind. Leave the last day light enough to reach your flight without rushing.

Spend the first part of the trip exploring the history and city life of Beijing and Xi'an before heading for Huangshan.
Time for mountains and villages
Yellow Mountain, the surrounding bases, and Huizhou heritage need enough time to avoid reducing Huangshan to a rushed day trip from Shanghai.
A contemporary city and departure gateway
The final stay can provide a different city experience while placing the journey near a major international departure point.
Fewer unnecessary returns
The direction is tested against confirmed arrival and departure cities so that extra backtracking and avoidable hotel changes can be reduced.
Pace and long-haul considerations
Protect recovery time and reduce repeated hotel changes
Keep space after the international arrival, use travel days honestly, and avoid compressing every city into a one-night stop. Families, older travellers, and anyone arriving after a long flight may need additional rest or fewer scheduled hours.
The Huangshan plan should begin with actual walking ability. Cable cars reduce climbing but do not remove steps, queues, transfers, weather exposure, or the walk between stations, viewpoints, and hotels.
